I love the colors-reminds me of where I grew up on the East coast

My Dear Mr. McIntire,
Any praises for your peerless images are redundant at this point. You have a way of doing color that does not distract. It is no secret that I find that color is --so overwhelming is it to the human experience-- often a negative (no pun, there) element in an image.
My question therefore is: How does an old Geezer such as yerself manage to get such a great photograph and not get wet or, worse, drowned in the process?

PS.....It is fun to compare them with Rich's.

These are all wonderful but I was particularly struck by the cloud/textures of Cloud Flame, and by the color banding in Goosenecks 2. Dead Horse 2 looks like something out of Dante - probably more than one horse met its end there.

You hit all the SW hot-spots and captured them perfectly...I guess I don't need to go back - I'll just relive the SW through your photos ;-)

the glen canyon dam no. 2 is a stunning view --- all the landscapes are great, but some are special, including green river overlook and park avenue ..... it was also nice to see some new versions of a few favorites of yours you've shot in the past in b+w, such as double arch, and two old friends from capital reef--spring tree and the castle .... the monument valley shots are also fine, in particular the ansel reprise of monument valley

Thanks for the kind words. We were lucky with the weather in that we had no rain. Most days were overcast, so I had to jazz up the colors a bit. In any case, I wish I could have spent a month at each location instead of two days.

the lunar eclipse came out well — and you didn't have to stay up as late as last time ..... carol ann said it reminded her of a mozzarella stuffed olive just before it went into full eclipse (and just after the time you took this shot)
