ATTENTION! — We’re doing something completely different at our March PAG meeting — instead of meeting at the Natural Grocers, we’re asking members to gather at 760 SW Madison (right next door to The ArtsCenter), for a private presentation and tour of TAC’s newly acquired expansion space. We’ll start at the usual time—7pm. Parking is available in TAC’s adjacent lot, as well as on Madison Ave. right across from the front of the building.
TAC’s Executive Director, Erinn Gavaghan, will meet us there to explain TAC’s plans and lead a tour of the facility. Like the current Arts Center next door, the historic three-story brick building with the colonnade facade started life as a church. That was back in 1917. It was converted to a funeral home in 1935 and most recently was used for
rented offices. By 2029, following renovations, it will be an art center, complementing the current building with expanded arts education spaces for ceramics, printmaking, glass, jewelry-making, digital art, and 2D studio classes; as well as affordable studio spaces for working artists.
Hope to see you there for a peak into the future of arts in Corvallis! (And if you’ve been putting off paying your dues, bring a check for $35 made out to the PhotoArts Guild and hand it over to our treasurer, Phil. We’ll be finalizing our official 2026 member roster soon.)
