“Show of Hands” is a wildly varied and creative display of more than 150 photographer’s interpretation of the theme, which commemorates Blue Sky’s original Show of Hands exhibit in 1994. The show is part of Blue Sky’s 50th birthday celebration of monthly digital exhibits recreating themes of shows from its first year.
In October 1975, five unemployed photographers envisioned a $40/month, 125-sq-ft storefront as a space to exhibit photography. Fifty years and more than 1,000 solo exhibitions and 60 group shows later, Blue Sky Gallery is celebrating its legacy with this online exhibition series: 12 themed online open calls, one for each month of our 50th anniversary year.
